Korea International Boat Show and Korea Match Cup into Second Life

Korea International Boat Show and Korea Match Cup held from 11th to 15th June 2008 at Jeonggok Marina of Hwaseong City by Gyeonggi Province in South Korea have opened a Second Life Presence, Gyeonggido.

Gyeonggi Digital Contents Agency and ACID CREBIZ have opened Islands featured Jeonggok Marina as it is to the public last April.

The Island consisting with 3D image in Virtual World is replicated Jeonggok Marina as real in order to give a chance to make experience the show prior to their real show. At Gyeonggido, Second Life residents can visit facilities such as a floating dock, as well as Indoor and outdoor exhibition halls, an auditorium and an event zone featuring various boats and yachts. So residents can can then try their hand at yacht racing, remote controlled speedboat racing and scuba diving.

Through hosting Korea International Boat Show and Korea Match Cup, Gyeonggi Province has opened up presence in Second Life owned about 14 million residents around the globe in order to maximize an effect on marketing and promotion to develop local marine leisure industry and to become the hub of East Asia’s marine industry.

This First big international Boat Show in Second Life promoting Gyeonggi province and ACID CREBIZ together are expected to contribute to name recognition in the world.

After the show and Cup are over, the island Gyeonggido will become a Korean themed resort allowing residents to experience marine leisure sports , such as yachting, scuba diving and so on - and promote the region.

Date---: Friday, May 9 at 11PM (SLT) to Thursday, May 15th at 1 AM (SLT).
Venue-: Gyeonggido sim
First place winner will receive L$10000; second and third place will receive L$5000 and L$3000 respectively, while 4th to 10th places will each receive L$1000.
