Starts a new work in new place

I had worked in Location Based Service field for just a year planning and developing a hiking GPS app. it was ordered by big korean agent and i was part of that projects as a sub director and planner for bringing up organized concept of application. (it wasn't that good fancy stuff as it is.) 

However, I actually have been  interesed in Social media and network field for those days since i started my first job in marketing Virtual World platform. and now i did move to here new work place preparing a new brand name of social networking service.  I am not so sure whether i can follow up their business and create a new value for here.

I am now only praying for my God who alway being with me, feeding me by any needed help.

I can do everything under his word and an authority of name of jesus christ.

Well matched Advertising chennel in the future?! it's the functional application based on related users.

Today I just got the brilliant idea for new biz. what if we just make practical app for some contents then bring related brand for sponsor.

I mean we dont need to gain profit based on only app sales itself. App itself can be a channel for related brand. Brand itself can find targeted audience via the app.However the core is the PRACTICAL APP which can be belonging or related to the each brand at least.

well I think app's traffic and usage should necessary for those though.

For example, we can think of sponsor or any advertisement appearing on favorite soaf opera.
While people are watching the soaf oepra through TV, people can be exposured to the brand name with props or places that is behind of scene by actors.

Likewise, the application can be a soaf opera for brands who want to exposure their own brand name to each well targeted audience if they catch the enormous functional applications.

What if you are the user of mountain related app and you used to perform it during hiking. If the hiking related outdoor brands such as K2 or Northface  are the sponsors for those and try to make some tips and recommendation with their brand product for situation.
When users carry the app and  pop up helpful tip with product for using it while you are hiking.
That will be much more effectively well targeted ad.

It's been a little long time since I wrote and updated my last blog in March.

Well .. Actually, I had really busy in those days. but also I ve been thinking about so many things what i have to keep writing and dealing with this blog for.

Today finally i determined that i want to share the idea I found via my daily life. It's kinda helpful and even make your life better and more graceful if you are god's beloved.

I bought my iphone 3 month ago and As you all know that  for the tremendous functions that smartphone like iphone has, my casual pattern for daily life had completely changed different than before i bought it. you may understand either if you own one. 

As a result of fact that i can connect the every media by iphone whether it is wired or not. I am always attached to media, news and Social networks through iPhone so that I don't need to sit infront of my personal laptop or computer to use internet.    

I can noticed that this can be great tools to connect with the word of god for every moment by using iphone if there are any application regarding christianity.

For the people like me who want to have time for meditation, praying and reading the word, carrying out the large and heavy bible every day is really big budden and even irritated either.

So I let you know a couple of app and knowhow you can resolve and deal with those if you are owning iphone or any smartphone.

Well if you are really good at reading korean ( well i don't think you are.) I highly recommend this app for iphone user.

One of the korean pastor might made this app with his knack for updating and making application but i can find out the couple of korean misprints though, it gives me really immersive grace with his simple but clear message from the word during the QT with this app.

 In addition, for the people like you who can speak English, i want you to have a glimse on CGNTV.net.

There is a variety and plenty of  interesting contents prepared for you to see and fill with prosperous word of God.

Wait for SNSD's full features in app

Did you see this application in the iphone or Android? well in my case, As a not only iphone heavy user but a bigest fan for Girl's Generation in South Korea. this seems totally fresh approch to me. 

Guess what? 

They had launched their brand new application in app store and Android market  featuring with  music video , video clip and photo zone etc.  

Originally, they  released the app on the late whiteday of march. and it was only provided by short clips of video and a few  photo frame when first came in however, they have been updated as peel an onion.

They considerably performed the new brand type of teaser advertisement by releasing app for their 2nd album.

What a genious!

Currently the SM entertainment where the parent agent of SNSD and NeowizBugs both had announced their partnesship for this projects and simultaneously release their new album to public not only in iphon app but bugsmusic which is one of the largest music portal site in korea.

  

 Ironically, the user share for iPhone market in South korea is highly dominated by thirty to forty bachelor or married male who are also belongin to powerful supporter age and gender fan group of Girls Generation. 

    

 I am not so sure of reason why the SNSD 2nd album app in iphone was ranked at third on top free app as soon as released to public but, this feature might worked and affected on those measure.  

 I think they, marketer of SNSD who had planned this app are really smart and trendy, because they exactly knew their market and their client.

Anyway still it settles around top 25 on top free app features. I can expect more of those kind of app for various musician or artist group and we will catch up our favorite celebrities not only in traditional media like TV but in app via iPhone.

It works like clock featuring SNSD's photo frame 

And also we can watch the new song of SNSD "Run Devil Run" in the app.

Furthermore, they will update more feature as long as new issues or 2nd public songs are coming.

Using Twitter means being local correspodent.

People used to think that we all know the world based on what we know.
As Ceaser said really .. that people see only what they want to see.
They just want to see the fact that they know and they can see.
that's why communication is so important.

Now i think we finally had a chance to new brand type of communication based on location.
I was only passive consumer when browsing the twitter.
There were poping up Trending Keywords that i don't agree. or i ve not hear of.
But now i can get a option for choosing a local trends that really matter to me for real my located area.

When i tried to browse the information via twitter. I only can received the selective information for my favorite. So There were possiblity that i couldnt catch up the real big trend and fad all over the world.


Anyway i used to expect myself that Twitter will be go for location based service as next step for real benefit.
and finally they showed their local Trends which let user to set their location and see the local issues based on keyword for each region.



It is not that big deal. it is so simple. Twitter now just show the true trend keyword for each related user based on location.

It is like a system we can eventually but unconciously become like local correspondents for media such as AP, Rueter or CNN

Every each place has a different issues they've got different sharable story according to local area. but Twitter let just show you which is really fad for specific region by showing local keyword.
When we seperate the information based on specific reason like location or theme.
Twitter will blow up the people's attention.
that means there are posibility that they can lead and generate the public opinions and even a zeitgeist.

Now Twitter gave a clue that we can ease traffic congestion among overflowing information, tweets...........

by Local Trend which based on real location and that will lead to milestone for Keyword advertising business for Twitter.

I think it will good or bad influence to current new brand type of LBS like Foursquare,Gypsii,Where and Brightkite.

I had social media conference in Secondlife for a long time

As Beginning of this year 2010, I could have virtual talkshow within secondlife. it's been a really long time to have presence in secondlife. and i was just invited from HCHO who is the host of TOV show. And we had talked about the Social Media emerging topic in these days such as twitter.

And all you might notice that it only talks in korean. So I don't think you can understand the whole talk what we had talked about. so sorry for that however,

the mainpoint of this talk show was the fact that current social media will be more common and more powerful as growing spreads of smartphone, iphone or blackberry etc.. and we could have virtual connected presence within our daily life not only in front of Personal computer but wherever we are near established internet network via WIFI. So I think we can generate more contents with our daily life even if it is just short unuseful comments. and we are on the unrefined tons of messages currently sharing on network.
It is like the early age of internet when we first saw the network atmosphere called PC network. There were millions of information and messages that is unqualified and unvaluable contents as well as current situation we can see in case of twitter.

I think the next step for the social media in the future will go foward to solution that how we can controle and manage the selective and trustworthy contents among the crowded random messages and information.

For example, if we take the point of selecitng message according to specific subject like " Location " guess what?
Geo tagged picture that could extract from the GPS adopted iphone can be combined with short message for that location user wants to spread the word through the social media.
That would generate more sharable contents and we can have common denominator to lead the word of mouth and big buzz for the location.
That could lead us to valuable business model for Point of Interests or travle guide contents like Yelp, Where or forsquare. I think these service are really up and commer busines model.

So the next business model for mining money will be gaining attention from people by exposures of crowding sourced contente.
Cuz we can have and use more free software or service as growing market of Software-as-a-Service. Moreover, People will use and develope the customised service by Open API. Every contents and every site will intergrated and mixed up becoming a collective intelligence.

On the other hand, Second Life now looks decreasing and backwarding but still have a great promises for next gerneration. Younger Generation is used to work in 3D virtual world or Social networks such as Club Penguin, Gaia online or Habbo Hotel. and they will be more familar with 3D immersive virtual space like Secondlife.
According to Gartner Research group, 80% of current account on the Web will have their account on virtual world by 2013.
whether it will be correct or not i dont know either, but still virtual world space is really innovative communication tool. we could have various tools including text and voice chat together to talk not only 1 on 1 but Mass on mass as well as conference call.

Review after attended Social media curriculum for overseas sales and marketing held in KOTRA.

Last week, I had attended in Social Media curriculum held in KOTRA. Because my boss gave order for me to participate in those and study about recent trend of Social Media stuff in those days. However, It was quite undeeper and less profound than i thought. because the fact that Social media wave in south korea still in the early age and we, I mean almost people in internet atmosphere in south korea are usually having their presence online only Korean local portal or Social Network Service like Naver.com or Cyworld.com etc..



Well Although the main topic for this social media curriculum was Marketing and Relation forward the world wide, Some People who attended in don't even heard about the biggest Social media site like Facebook, Myspace and Twitter which are having real big issues and fad all around the world.
Anyway, I think Korea is well known for its wireless high-speed Internet infrastructure for millions of subscribers across the South korea, however, there are only for Gaming or entertaining things to spend time to waste, not for productive thing. it is the different culture that the concept of marketing for online and SNS or famous portal site such as naver is all about increasing the exposure of keyword as a result of searching the information by user in the site.

In those days there have been different aspects of marketing style coming to industry we also consider that the relationship and qualilty of contents is the most important thing when doing a marketing stuffs through the internet.

Especially, in naver.com Korean blogger for marketing used to drag-copy-attached contents which is the weird style of written things or (very)official and very unfamilar information from the organization or company. And they only consider the traffic to visit in and keep doing the samethings to manipulate the traffic again and again. But as Numerous million of people are having their owned account and have a relationship with their friends via blogging and social network service. we could also more credit to information from our friend's blog or have trust based on reviewing by any other user for the products before buying it.

So I can noticed that although there is diffent online space to share the communication and to meet the people due to the differn language maybe.......
As we can see more People who more depending on social media than exsisting media like TV,Radio or newpaper, it is possible to send the independant or individuall message to the public out of influence by traditional media zone. So the conception of Public Relation ship with customer and maketing plans are getting different.


(Case1> you can buy the keyword licence for results by searching engine in portal site. There is word in korea that if you have your owned keyword which is exposure in result of NAVER.com you can exposure to over 70% internet user in south korea. )

Case2> and town.cyworld.com is the one of the useful tool to have company precence for marketing in Cyworld. Company can have their official mini homepage calling town and have relationship with their individual fans by IL-chon (일촌) relates which is traditional individual connection system with friends in cyworld.

I think the korean is wet behind the ears of social media sites AKA Facebook and anyother social media site around the world. But we also have common with those wave by social media. Because we ve already established the environment to talk on internet and understand the Social Networking by internet presence.
There are absolutely different language and different culture however
I think the significant thing to understand at the concept of the work in social media is making a sharable gooooood and gorgeous contents and having a relationship with your people freely. that's what it takes.

Yes right she is all the rage over south korea currently. and People regard her as the best one among the members from every girl group. I can surely say that there seems to be no one else can compare to YOO E according to current population of entertaining celebrities in korea. Absoulutely she is matchless.

She is now belongs to girl's band, AFTER SCHOOL (what a name...) and although she was the latest member joined in AFTER SCHOOL, gained really great reputation as i kept said again and again.

She used to expose her thighs when she did perform a dance with sing a song. so people, especially male fans going crazy with her attractive thigh so they call it HONEY THIGH.

That word made real big attention by male fans through the internet, and it has been accused of making remarks defaming women too. Those were working with buzz by mouth to mouth within every forum in portal site and community. so she could get great results with big attention.

However the AFTER SCHOOL now she is belonging to is not that big famous girl group.

I think they were undervalued by little misunderstandable marketing stuffs when they first debut on market. Cuz they were regarded sort of package next to Son Dam-Bea who had big hit on every singer chart board as a sexy female performer.

Korean lesson Chapter 1 - JIN SIM?!

From now on, I think i can make korean lesson feature within this blog.
So i added one of my lesson for you, if you are really interesting in learning korean.

Actually, I have been publishing the english lesson in pretty famous monthly magazine in S.korea. I used to take a role of article explaining the meaning of sentence with cartoon like above which is drawn by SAKIROO, my old good buddy and character designer.

However, I think I can use it as a korean lesson for forigners by way of contrast.

Incase of the first sentence,
E RUN SIKURO HAMYEON U TTER HANN GA YO?

E Run Sik... means This way

And When you try to suggest some thing you want
You would say like Why don't we ... blahblah
In korean, however, you can say blahblah~ U TTER HANN GA YO?

Yo is alway added on end of sentences you make if you try to make respectful way of speaking.

Korean use the couple of diffent respectful way of speaking according to the relationship with the someone you talking to.
When you talk with your close friend, you don't need to add the YO things. But when you try to speak with some one you first to see each other or who is older than you etc
You should remember the word 'YO' you have to add on every end of speaking.
Got it?

JIN SIM mean your the whole[true] heart or sincerity.

I hope you can't directly say that word to your partner if you are not familar with him or her.
As i said, Always remember the word, YO.

If you want to use that kind of way asking for their intend or thought by some one you are not that close with or older than you, you have to be careful and show repectful expression with.... YO.

You have to change the someword, E YA within JIN SIM E YA . OK?

Who is creating a stir on the Internet.

Maybe, I think the atmosphere of internet forum in South korea lately looks like the picture above.
If there is stupid crappy stuff on public, people using an internet started to look it as their own prey, and they used to slammed and attacked then, creating a huge stir all over the website.

I think it is common situation we can easily see on the Korea' s internet experiences.
Every people behind the monitor have their own thought and standard to make their opinion and decision for issues
But, given the case of Park jaeboem who had kick out by judgement of public on internet forum due to the remark he made on his website when he was young,
I couldn't stop to think this is not right and make me think that using the internet for sharing each of our opinions for free without any management is really totally dangerous.
This environment is little similar case with hysteria generated for witch-hunt on the middle age. I have been thinking that intenet is the ideal tool to optimize the way of sharable communication between people. it would make people more considerable with various knoweldge given by each people on internet.
Unfortunately, it is not that true in case of South Korea.

One of the female student appeared on popular TV show and make a remark that

A short man is a loser!!

According to her measurement method for qualifiable man should taller than 6 ft at least.
and every man under that tall is completly LOSER.

That 's what she said on the air.
As soon as i heard this comment on live air. I was totally losing my mind.
Well because of what ?
Because of fact that i am under that measure so i couldn't reach to the qualification of her ?

No, absolutely not!

Because the KBS, the nation's largest and influencible broadcasting firm was airing this extremly delirious comments without any fixing or editing.
Are they crazy?




the funny things that i want to point out is some rumor that is related to late Naval Clash.
Coincidentally, the naval clash in west sea between South and North korea was happened after day of this air.
Netizen began to make fun of this air and remark that Miss Lee who made remark about loser thing also did infuriate Kim jeong il in North korea to mad. so he send the Special force team to take her out with naval.
According to the article below
' North Korea Thursday blamed this week's naval clash on a "conspiracy" by South Korea's military to thwart the current mood of cross-border dialogue.'

Netizen pointed out the Miss Lee that She was the one who made the conspiracy for naval clash.
Because Kim jeong il is also fail to her qualification.

Lee was not the only one who spoke out the reckless comment on the air. their were more 11 female guests deriding short man or poor man etc. Every comment was absolutely rubbish.

i dont want to blame to their own thoght and Superficiality.
In these days Superficiality is engrained in the culture. i knew that is not the typical opinion for only her . (yeah there were 11 more... on the air. )

But i want to quote the one of the comment among the netizen that

...the reason the netizens jumped on this one is due to a certain short-guy complex among the Korean "netizens." If these netizens were consistent, they would realize women discriminating against short men is the same as the netizens discriminating against fat, ugly, or scarred women in their "internet searches."

that's right the hysteria among community on internet jumped on this story without any considerable thought and reasonable acting and worked tiself into a frenzy. that's all about us in internet.
We need to more careful and regard the using internet more compelling tool based on responsibility.

But i can't stand for the broadcasting that they expected these controvercial act from netizen and intentionally aired the crappy comments for higher viewer rating.

Political revenge to comedian?!

Do you believe if the Administration forces to one of the lame comedian by cutting off his job for political motivated retaliation???

Currently, Popular korean comedian Kim Je-dong, is in the controversy with Korean Broadcasting System(KBS) in South Korea.
Because there are gossips that political power forced him to leave off the show.

Recently, He just quit his job working MC on One of the entertaining Korean show out of the blue.

But public in korea raise their doubtful point In regarding with his sudden leaving. Because, much of thing was either missing or highly suspect.

Korean public through the internet think that his dismissal is speculated as a series of eliminations of liberal figures from organizations run by the conservative Lee Myung-bak administration.

1. He was side of Former President Noh who passed away in May by killing himself.

As a matter of fact that his status on political footprints influence him to quit the job. He has been showing his official stance for the every politic issue in S. Korea

Especially, When former korean president Roh Moo Hyeon passed away by suicide, he did the host of funeral and last memorial ceremonies.

and He has spoken on different position against current korean government, MB administration, at any other social problems with his own opinion.

2. Ok then What's so matter to Government when Jedong Kim supporting former president.

You need to read above and understand the behind why the fomer president Roh had suicided. I dont want to make lame excuses for reason why Roh suicied himself due to the alleged bribe scandal with his old buddy.

However, The results of the survey showed that many people believe prosecutors had not properly investigated President Lee Myung-bak's aides while targeting a corrupt link between Roh, his aides and the businessman.

Whether the public conceptions are truth as it is or not ..

Public conception is really matter to korean politicians and government.

Moreover Jedong Kim is one of the famous influential celebrity with liberal connections that he did even host the memorial ceremony for the late former president who is political enemy relation with current administration in S. Korea. That is the reason why public can have a firm belief that Jedong's dismissal is kind of political retaliation.

3. Last but not least, this is not a first case suspected of having been dismissed due to the liberal connection with opposite party against President Lee Myung Bak.

Rocker Yoon Do-hyun was suspended from his long-running KBS2 show ``Love Letter'' last November.

Female Comedian Kim Mee-hwa was also dismissed from her own MBC Radio show "World and Now" Because she was severely criticized for her opinion supporting crowds holding candle-lit protests against government.

she is the Mee-hwa Kim.
